Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
