Passionate supporters of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was due to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed features videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

Numerous supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had gathered in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The movie, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
