A catastrophic blast at a security post in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir has led to the loss of nine individuals and harm to thirty-two others, according to police declarations.

The detonation happened on Friday evening at the Nowgam police station, where blast substances seized from the Faridabad area in the northern state of Haryana province were being kept briefly.
Local law enforcement head declared that the detonation substances were pending forensic examination when a "deeply regrettable" mishap during processing led to their detonation at approximately 23:20 in the evening.

Multiple vehicles were "consumed by fire and transformed into ashen remains, with debris scattered across the area," according to police accounts.
"The intensity of the blast was such that some body parts were retrieved from close-by residences, approximately 100-200 meters distant the police station," reported an police contact.
The bulk of the fatalities were police officers, along with scientific examination staff, two evidence documentation specialists, and a garment worker who was accompanying the group.
